Delivering A First Class Service For St. George’s Hospital

St. George’s Hospital has brought together its 8,500 staff on its main site in Tooting. Nexus undertook a total of 60 projects, ranging from small-scale office moves to complex multi-phase clinical relocations, over an 18-month period, delivering on time and budget.

We used our warehouse facilities to hold furniture and equipment to prevent congestion in busy areas like operating theatres. We also made sure clinical and outreach services could continue as staff were relocated.

One of the biggest tasks was to support the hospital’s in-house IT department to decommission, pack, move and re-commission desktop IT equipment. Our IT specialists audited, stored, delivered and installed furniture out-of-hours to minimise disruption.

Reducing waste was a key target for the project. We worked closely with the hospital’s waste teams, recycled items according to type and logged weights for metal, WEEE and general furniture recycled.
