Having packed, moved and stored the collection initially, we worked closely with the university’s estates and library teams to move and unpack the collection. This move had to be completed during summer and was completed in just six days.
As well as transferring books, journals and periodicals, we also co-ordinated the careful relocation of items such as chef Ken Hom’s Golden Wok, the personal archive of well-known beer expert Michael Jackson and a fully-functioning vintage jukebox.
As part of the project, the university took the opportunity to incorporate a collection of early print children’s books from another site and reorganise the main collection to incorporate new stock into relevant sections. The new collection is now on display and accessible to all.
